Sam’s fascination with beer began after traveling extensively throughout Europe and sampling the many fine offerings along the way.
Returning stateside, he began experimenting with complex brewing techniques which led to a loyal following. He pursued his passion at Oregon State University’s Fermentation Science Program, where he was trained by internationally recognized experts.
Sam continued honing his craft and gained expertise by working in industry-renowned breweries coast to coast. Armed with his degree and work experience, he decided to reach out to his two childhood friends and fellow beer enthusiasts, to build the foundation for ICONYC Brewing Company.
